2026 Zhik iQFOiL and Wing Foil Nationals Wrap Up

The 2026 Zhik Foil Down Under: Australia iQFOiL and Wing Foil Nationals delivered a demanding and memorable week of foiling at Wangi Wangi, with challenging and variable conditions testing the skill, resilience, and consistency of over 100 competitors from across Australia and overseas in both disciplines.

International competition was fierce, with Jeremiah McDonald (New Zealand) crowned Overall Champion, while Banjo Nicholson claimed the title of Overall Australian Champion, ahead of Connor Radford and Henry Meyers. Monique De Vries took out Overall Female Gold Fleet Champion, showcasing outstanding consistency and speed, with Emma Webb bringing in second. 

The Silver Fleet also delivered exciting racing, with Laila Opanubi named Overall Silver Fleet Champion. The Overall Silver Fleet podium was led by Ocean Mclean, followed by Will Ryan and Matt Ivshenko and Laila Opanubi and Ava Spencer. 

A standout feature of the event was the fully booked SheSails Wing Clinic, reinforcing the Nationals’ strong commitment to growing female participation and creating inclusive pathways in foiling.

Hosted by Australian Windsurfing, iQFOiL Class, and Australian Wing Foil Racing, and proudly supported by major sponsor Zhik alongside Lake Macquarie, Kite & SUP, SheSails, Australian Sailing, Chief Nutrition, Lies Collective and PredictWind, the 2026 Nationals firmly cemented Wangi Wangi as a premier destination for foiling events in Australia.
